Helping your child at home!
A math resource handout was sent home today in your child’s green folder. There are a lot of great apps, websites, card games, and more that you can play with your child at home to help them with their math. These resources are not required but are strongly encouraged and will benefit your child in the classroom!
iReady & Symphony Reports!
On Monday you will be receiving reports from iReady and Symphony assessments that were taken by students in September. Please be aware are simply a snapshot of your child's learning. If you have any questions about your child's academic progress please feel free to contact me.
Brrr.. Cooler Weather
Please note that we will continue to go out for recess even as the weather gets cooler. Please be sure your first grader is prepared for outdoor weather.

Elaine Babajtis’ (Mrs. B) Retirement Party!
All of Elaine’s colleagues, parents, and students are welcome to stop by the Pine Glen Cafeteria on Wednesday, October 21 at 3:30 to say hello catch up with Elaine. Treats and drinks will be served! Please RSVP to gordon@bpsk12.org by October 14th if you plan on attending.
Starlab
On Wednesday, October 14th, first grade will spend their morning exploring the stars and planets in Burlington Science Center’s “Star Lab”! More information about this exciting event will be sent home next week!
Fall Festival
On Friday, October 30th, first grade will be having our first seasonal event: Fall Festival! If you would like to volunteer for this event from 9:00-10:45am, please email me to let me know. Again, more information will be sent home next week!
