A Seuss-Tastic Week!

Random Acts of Kindness
The 120th day of school is approaching and we are hoping to reach our goal of 120 Random Acts of Kindness. Students may fill out and return any completed RAKs in their green folders. Each member of our class should complete at least 9 RAKs. It is our hope that through this experience first graders will learn to be kind, thoughtful and generous members of our community.

Writing
We are continuing our unit on informative writing. Last week, we visited our research classroom to research the mammal we will complete our report on. First graders had the choice to research skunks, bats, or raccoons. We learned a lot of interesting facts about our mammals and took detailed notes in our research notebooks. This week, we returned to our homerooms to begin to compose our reports.
